I have a fun little giveaway for you today! It’s basically my way of saying thank you for following along with me during a year filled with food, adventure, and photography. There have definitely been times when I have wanted to stop blogging, but comments from readers always keep me motivated to continue. So, thank YOU!
Included in the giveaway pack: free product coupons (3) for Galaxy Nutritional Foods, stickers from Food Fight Grocery and Herbivore Clothing Company, Vega Vanilla Protein Powder packet, Bob’s Red Mill Steel Cut Oats (2 sample packets), Crazy Rumors Banana Split Lip Balm, handmade cards from Chirp Cards (check out my Etsy shop!), a Kiss My Face Eye Repair Cream and Creamy Face Cleanser (sample packets), a Dandies Marshmallow pin, a mini Chocolate Peppermint Stick Luna Bar, and a mini PB&J Lara Bar. There might also be a few chocolaty surprises thrown into the mix! Pretty exciting, right?
To enter, just leave a comment here telling me one thing you hope to accomplish in 2012. Due to shipping costs, this giveaway is only open to US residents. I will be having two more giveaways in the upcoming months, one which will be open to international residents – so don’t be sad! You have until Saturday, December 31st at midnight PST. I will randomly select and announce the winner on January 1, 2012! Good luck everybody and Happy (almost) New Year!

What a wonderful giveaway! My biggest challenge in 2012 will be to face many of the things that I fear most. 2011 was a difficult year in that I had a big relapse with anxiety. I’m now learning to accept the anxiety i’m having and not let it interfere with my life. I know this year i’m going to face so many things that i’m scared of, but I know it will help me lead the life that I want to live and I couldn’t hope to accomplish anything else.
I hear you. My anxiety went out of control this year and it is difficult to tame. I hope that you can find a happy balance in your life. Best wishes in facing your fears. You will definitely become a stronger person as a result!!
I’d love for 2012 to have my family living closer to one another. I’m tired of being so spread out, especially at the holidays! Kate
My family is spread out too – even to other countries! Happy Holidays to you as well!
Since I am currently a freshman in college, I just hope to survive the upcoming spring semester in 2012!
Best wishes to you during your spring semester!
I’d love to learn how to crochet!
Me too! I have a how-to book, but I am much too lazy to read it right now! Soon…
My goal is to start riding the bike I bought before the holidays. Living in San Francisco, it would definitely save time riding a bike vs public transportation and also a great workout! Jacqui
Do it! I am cheering you on!! San Francisco must be a beautiful place for bike commuting (one of my goals for 2012 is to visit San Francisco).
I want to spend more quality time with my family doing activities or trips that we’ll remember for a long time. I also want to complete my scrapbooks for my kids. Thanks for hosting!
Love your response! Memories are so important to our happiness :)
I hope to become a more patient and loving person in 2012.
Patience is hard for me too. I find that taking a series of big, deep breaths helps a lot (when I have the patience to do them!).
I hope to advance my career and travel to a new destination this year. I’m totally looking forward to 2012!
Travel is on my list as well. It is so exhilarating to visit new places. Hooray for 2012!!
In 2012 I hope to make/eat pizza better than I did in 2011.
I fully support this pizza quest.
My goal is to help improve the eating habits of the kids I work with, at a residential treatment center. We feed them such awful junk (they have donuts, pop tarts and cookies available to pretty much all the time). I may not be able to convince anyone vegan is the answer (though I’m hoping for Meatless Mondays), but there has to be a better answer than what we’re doing!
Your goal is so admirable and altruistic. If you can make Meatless Mondays happen, that would be amazing. It would definitely help the youth you work with appreciate food more.
goal for 2012 move to the mountains and be the best mommy i can be!!!
Moving to the mountains sounds incredible! I imagine there would be a nice balance of solitude and adventure :)
I hope to get a job in 2012!
Me too. My work is very sporadic and not secure. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
Awesome giveaway. What a cool way to end the year/ring in a new year. I’m aiming to get my grad school applications submitted in 2012 and to get accepted, too, of course. :)
Yay! Good luck!
I’d like to get a better job. maybe one that doesn’t make me dread getting up in the mornings?
Ugh, I completely understand. Put your happiness first!!
exercise more… yes, yes, typical resolution, but I really need to get my butt into gear (sigh)
The only way I am able to commit to any form of exercise is to put “workout” on my to-do lists (super nerdy, right?!). If I don’t cross it off before bedtime, I can’t sleep!
I want to own my own vegan bakery one day, so am desperately trying to get experience baking somewhere other than my home kitchen. I would be ecstatic if 2012 brought me a job at a bakery, just to get my foot in the door in the field, even if I’m just the janitor.
Love this one.
I’m afraid my resolution will make me sound like I have a drinking problem… lol, but I really want to learn how to make my own fancy whiskey cocktails :)
No way! A skill is a skill, no matter what.
I want to get stronger – my most concrete goal is to be able to do a headstand in yoga
Good one! I’m not focused enough to commit to yoga :(
My goal for 2012 is to take more risks and to be patient in seeing the outcome of those risks. In the past two years I moved from Ohio to California and am finally feeling like it was a good decision. Never lucky in love, I took a risk in approaching someone at my company that I work with and I’ve had a first date that has renewed my faith that there might actually be a person out there for me. So some risks do pay off, just keep the faith!
Good for you! Taking risks isn’t always easy, but the benefits can be worth it in the end.
P.S. Don’t even think about stopping blogging! We need your travel adventure stories and beautiful pictures on a regular basis. You don’t want to make us sad, do you? :(
Hahahahaaa! Nope, no sadness!
Your year-end wrap up posts are so gorgeous (as always) and optimistic and inspiring. It’s great to see you’ve got baking and photo jobs lined up for 2012…your best talents! For 2012 I’m hoping we can open up an etsy shop to sell cool jewels. I’d still love to see you open up a little online bake shop or do a cookbook. :)
cheers!
Awww… Thank you! I hope you open an Etsy shop so that people will have access to awesome jewels :) Do it!
I hope to have a new professional job in 2012!
Best wishes, Rachel!
I hope to get all my debt paid off & I defintely need to drink more water.
Yes, drinking more water – I need to do that too!
What a sweet way to ring in the new year! Thank you for doing this giveaway. In 2012 I will be running my first half marathon! I’m very excited!
That is exciting!!! Good luck!
great giveaway! i’m hoping to find my first real job after graduating from law school in may.
Congrats on your nearing graduation from law school. What an accomplishment!
What an awesome giveaway – thank you!
One of my goals is to do more soul-searching to figure out what makes me happiest, so I can (ideally!) build a career around whatever that is. :)
Hi Kelly! That is exactly what I did right before I left my legal assistant job. It’s important to do what we love.
In 2012 I hope to be able to beat my eating disorder, or at least come to a place where I am medically stable and emotionally stable, and taking strides forward in my recovery.
Hi Sarah – I hope with all my might that you find a happy balance and keep moving forward towards recovery. Best wishes to you in 2012 (and beyond!). :)
I’m working on a blog post for 2012 goals, with ways to achieve them, so this is a perfect question :-)
My biggest goal is to continue my healthful lifestyle – and to go along with that…getting the mister to join in a little more often!
My immediate 2012 goal is to win a battle with the eye doctor about brand new glasses with a scratched lens! Ugh. I’m not looking forward to that visit early next week :-(
Happy New Year!
Yeah! It’s always awesome when our partners join in on the vegan journey! Good luck at your eye doctor appointment – I would dread that too. Confrontation of any kind sends me running!
My goal for 2012 is to be a more conscious consumer and put more effort into paying more attention to the ethics of what I’m buying, seeking out fair trade, etc.
This is a very inspiring goal.
My goal for 2012 is to not be such a terrible gardner! I vow to pay more attention to my veggies, water more consistently, pull all weeds, and harvest in a timely fashion!
Gardening sounds like a lot of work; I’m jealous, though, that you have a yard!
I want to finish a painting I have been working on!
I have a few unfinished art projects too. Must find more time!
One thing I want to finish this year is my bachelor degree, get a high paying job I have never made more than $9,000.00 a year, pamper my self by getting a makeover and that includes a wardrobe, and give back to less fortunate.
Hope you find a job you enjoy so you can treat yourself to something special :)
My goal for 2012 is to successfully graduate to the 3-5 out of 5 whisk difficulty recipes in my vegan baking cookbooks! I need to up my game and start learning how to be a real baker.
Yay! Bake every single day!!!
my hope is that we as a people finely come together as
one to make our country great again ,reaching out across the parties with one goal!
country first! not party
I hope for this too, although I am not optimistic enough.
I’m going to try to finish up my graduate degree by the end of next year. Cramming 3 years of work into one will be both awesome and stressful.
Good luck :)
My goals for 2012 are to go to Zumba at least 2 times per week, and to get pregnant. Wowzers!! Also… to win this contest, hahaha! *fingers crossed*
Fingers crossed!
2012 already! A major goal is to take a French language class. After traveling to France last year it is time for me to learn something new this year!
