Well, today was exhausting! The bake sale organized by Vegan Omaha raised over $3,000 for Japan! Isn’t that incredible? At the end of the day, the only thing left was one little paper cup filled with granola. One guy even ate crumbs off a cookie sheet! Here are some highlights:
After the bake sale a group of us went to Kurry Xpress for Indian food. It was delicious!
Tomorrow the pie making continues and eventually Portland beckons. I am going to miss Omaha!

Oh my gosh! I think I would die and go to Heaven if I saw a vegan bake sale.. I would have bought everything!! :)
Congrats, that’s an amazing fund raiser!!
Vegan bake sales are dangerous! It’s best to attend with a set amount of money so that you don’t lose all your teeth from eating too many sweets!
I still don’t know what to think about Kurry Xpress…I’m still in a daze. Why were we eating out of plastic bowls and styrofoam cups? Who am I?
I know, the styrofoam and plastic upset me too! That’s obviously the Xpress part of the entity.
Great job!
Thanks! I was thinking how beautiful your recent cheesecake creation would have looked on the table :)
I got a sugar rush just looking at these photos but you guys pulled off an amazing job!
There was definitely a beautiful array of sugar-filled treats!! I managed to avoid them though – keeping focused on photographing them instead!
Wow, everything looks fantastic! You guys are awesome!
Vegan Omaha really pulled off the best bake sale I’ve ever attended!
These bake sales are getting better and better. $3,000 you all raised is amazing!!!
