One More Giveaway!!!

Mmmmmmm… Breakfast. During the summer months my mornings were filled with smoothies for breakfast. Now that it is getting chillier outside, I’ve moved on to warmer meals. When Tim and I attended Portland’s Veg Fest in September we snagged a few generously-sized sample packets of a delicious 10 Grain Hot Cereal from Bob’s Red Mill. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up buying some and it has become an intergral part of our morning routine. We even took it backpacking once! This cereal is mighty healthy and a nice switch-up from oatmeal. You can add fruit, nuts, cinnamon, or whatever you enjoy most to this cereal and it will help plow you through your day.  Click on the link above for more information.   1. Yumm, I love grains :)
    My breakfasts usually consist of a bowl of oats filled with nut butter, dried berries, nuts, carob chips, coconut, banana, maybe some crumblings from a larabar, cookie, or something of the sort.
    But, I also love eating sprouted bagels spread with Tofutti Better Than Cream Cheese & jam, and on the other side: pb&j and cashew butter with fig spread (so freaking good!).
    I am lover of bagelsssss :)

  2. For breakfast I usually go for oatmeal with pumpkin pie spice, raisins, almonds, and hemp protein powder. It keeps me going for hours and sticks to my ribs!

    I do love my smoothies though, and I just had a friend tell me that I need to try a spinach/blueberry smoothie…sound crazy to me, but I could use some more spinach in my diet, so we’ll see!

  3. I love oatmeal with some kind of fruit, usually peach or banana. Then I add cardamom, pumpkin pie spice, flax seeds, and Grape Nuts. I ALWAYS drink it with black tea- most likely Earl Grey. mmmm…. now I’m hungry!

  4. lately, my favorite breakfast has been a nice oatmeal porridge recipe I found in Yoga Journal, of all places. In fact, I’m planning to blog about it sometime soon. It’s got almond milk, oatmeal, and a little coconut. Then I have a sliced up apple from our apple tree to go along with it.

    :) a warm breakfast is nice in the autumn.

  5. I really love raw banana ice cream/soft serve for breakfast- throw some raisins, and some warm peanut butter on top, maybe some coconut.. mmm.. Another all time favorite is peanut butter and banana sandwiches, with cinnamon.. I think there is a pattern here..

  6. My favourite breakfast is stove-top oat bran with a mashed banana added to it and a cup of Chocolate Yogi Tea. I love warm breakfasts because it’s getting quite chilly around here.

  7. Lately my absolute favorite breakfast is a smoothie with almond milk, hulled hemp seeds, frozen banana, peanut butter, and spinach. And lots of coffee!

  8. I have been starting my day with fresh carrot and apple juice. Yum! I slao like soy yogurt, fruit, and a bagel on occasion. Thanks for the giveaway! I’ve got one going right now too :)

  9. my fav breakfast is what i call swiss oats. i soak oats, spices, nuts, and dried fruit in almond milk overnight, and in the morning i add soy yogurt, pb, and banana! i love to enjoy its creamy deliciousness ice cold!

  10. I have a thick slice of wholemeal spelt sourdough bread slathered with cashew butter and blueberry jam, and while eating this I can forget everything – feels like heaven!

  11. i love bob’s red mill yummies – i have the gluten-free breakfast cereal at home and i soooo super love it! no worries on the contest for me, Amy – dan isn’t the biggest hot breakfast cereal fan and i’ve gotta stick with gluten-free to keep my tummy most happyfaced.

  12. Usually my breakfast (at college) is a bowl of oatmeal with a little brown sugar, cinnamon, and soymilk. But I think my favorite breakfast treat (when i am home, with a kitchen to use) would have to be blueberry pancakes!

  13. I love tempeh scramble with a little bit of ketchup: fried onions, mushrooms, potatoes and tempeh. Usually, I have this with a side of fruit.
