Okay, so no food posts today, but instead…a photo of a lovely gray jay! This bird was super friendly and tried to sneak up on me and my boyfriend while we were eating lunch on a snowshoeing trip in Bend, Oregon. He stayed still long enough for me to take his picture and make him famous.

I once had a gray jay land on my head and snatch my trail bar. I had to put a jacket over my head while 3 then dive bombed me. It was a traumatic experience.
